The flag-off ceremony of 150 units of vehicles participating in the 4 Wheel Drive Camp Retreat organised by Forest City was completed this morning by Johor Tourism Director, Suhairi Hashim at the Tunku Mahkota Ismail Youth Centre (TMIYC) in Johor Bahru. The convoy was led by Country Garden Malaysia-Singapore Regional President, Chen Binhong.

The execution of this program is an initiative by Forest City in promoting tourism location and attractions in Johor with the aim of catalysing local economic growth through the tourism industry.

The participants will camp for two days and one night in Forest City. On top of camping, an automotive dealer also participated in the 4-wheel drive vehicle exhibition. In addition, there is also photography exhibition as well as children’s activities.

Regional Vice President of Forest City, Ir. Hj. Syarul Izam said, “the pandemic that has a global impact has changed the society’s lifestyle today. In general, it can be observed that a healthy lifestyle, environmental outdoor activities, family bonding session without a burdensome cost are the choices of the majority of society.”

“Forest City is one of the attractions in Johor due to its unique development concept. It was created with a complete set of facilities, including a chain of hotels that offer stunning views, international standard golf courses, interesting photography locations, public swimming pools and water park. In addition, the breadth of this development indirectly attracts the interest of the community to visit and execute activities such as cycling and long-distance running. The variety of facility options allows visitors to choose the type of activity according to their wishes,” he commented again.

This program is co-organised with Nature Campers 4×4 club and supported by public agencies namely Majlis Bandaraya Johor Bahru (MBJB), Majlis Bandaraya Iskandar Puteri (MBIP) and Tourism Johor. Enya Mariene photography company together with six other companies from various business backgrounds contributed sponsorship to ensure the program success.
